Video content marketing and your online strategy

Today, online videos have become a very popular platform to show products and services; currently at YouTube, one of the most popular platforms, 100 hours of video are uploaded every minute.

In order for any video content to have significant impact on a business online marketing strategy, some requirements must be met; target segmentation is one of them, knowing their interests and talking about them on videos.

Another strategy to make video marketing successful is to make it ritual: it is a good sign if the target is eagerly waiting for new content every week/month. Additional to regular videos, it’s important to make short ones; it helps the brand maintain focused. The Instagram or Vine video services are great options in this regard. Establishing a direct, solid connection with people, scheduling some Hangouts for example, is fundamental. The brand needs to evoke emotions! 

One of the most important benefits is the quick response: as long as a brand video is online and shared through social media, the response is almost immediate, and if the target responds with a testimonial, that’s an achievement!

Content video also contributes with the identity exposure of the brand, reinforcing elements such as the logo or a jingle. So, during preproduction it’s important to make a list of the elements that need to be shown on the video.   

Video content marketing can positively impact on an online marketing strategy if used wisely, focused on details and guided to better know your audience.
